Learning Language/ June 27, 2008

Today our presentor is Mrs. Elechia Miles. She is very expressive, involved, and on task. She called me by name several times to help me stay on task when she was teaching and modeling concepts related to the activstudio. I was always trying to complete the task before going on to the next task that she taught. I'm slow on learning about the computer, but I'm learning in increments , and I'm enjoying it tremendously. Mrs. Miles did an activity with us which allowed us to get acquainted with her and each other. We worked in groups. I can use this activity in class with my students. She taught us new things about the activstudio which expanded our knowledge. She and Mrs. Mercer have done a great job this past week. I will strive to put into practice the information that I have learned about the activstudio. It is a great tool for teaching students in this age of technology. It will capture their attention and contribute to their overall knowledge. It meets the needs of the visual, kinestic, and auditory learner. I sincerely enjoyed this session. It makes me eager to learn more and more about the activstudio program.

Learning Language/June 26, 2008

We worked diligently on our flipcharts Thursday. Some of the members of the class displayed some great flipcharts. These flipcharts reflected several techniques that we learned in our sessions. Flipcharts were planned according to various lessons which were presented. I plan to edit and perfect my flipchart to be used in my classroom.

Learning Language

I didn't attend the training session today on activstudio. I had outpatient surgery. However, I studied my handouts that we were given on activstudio.This training session will be beneficial to the students and direct them to use visual and auditory skills. I look foward to attending class Thursday.

I learned more about blogging today. Yesterday, I learned the difference between the flipchart tool strip and the object edit toolbar. This is essential to teaching a lesson using the activstudio.
We worked with techniques on how to convert from a power point, or to a power point. This has really been a great experience for me. I can't wait until school begin to try some of the techniques that I am learning in this training session. We learned how to make items appear and about promethean learning. I hope to acquire more knowledge about using the activstudio doing the school year and practice using it so my students can learn in a more innovative way.

Learning Language 6/23/2008

This was my first Activstudio training today. I really enjoyed this session tremendously! I think that this training will help me motivate more students to learn about language skills in my class. This will be a great tool to capture the interest of the students. Today, I learned some basic activboard techniques. We were introduced to activstudio tool bars and we were shown how to use them. We also learned how to build flipcharts. We learned to type flipcharts to the curriculum. We will be learning more about blogging and planning alesson using the activstudio. I hope to gain as much information as possible to use the activstudio effectivwely.
